Back to reality

Well, my fun girl weekend is over! Today was my "Monday" and it kicked my butt. I came into work with 400+ emails in my inbox, two back to back conference calls, then cramming to get a package done for a presentation at noon. No time to even pour a cup of coffee, and I didn't eat lunch until 1:30pm. My co-workers were literally afraid of me. But alas, I survived, and this is what I was wearing in the process.

I realize that all blogger photos are forced and contrived. I mean, I wish I had a photographer following me around all day taking candid, just-the-right-angle photos of me, but the reality is, it's all staged. Regardless, photographing shoes while you're wearing a maxi skirt/dress is even more awkward. There's just no easy way to do it, but I tried my best, because I love these sandals. And I also love maxi skirts! Today we actually broke 90, which is ridiculous considering a couple days ago, I was freezing my butt off downtown. I was so super exhausted from the weekend, didn't wake up as early as I had planned, and had less than 45 minutes to get showered and photographed before I jumped in the car for work. A maxi is my foolproof go to when I don't want to wear jeans, but definitely want to be lazy. I don't even have to shave my legs for this. ha! But, you know it's true.
