I lived in Michigan for about 5 years before I moved to St. Louis, and after I had moved here, I basically had an aversion to chunky sweaters. I was so over them because winter felt like an eternity up there, and they honestly just depressed me. So, I got rid of all of them, and relied strictly on layering cardigans. I had a handful (literally only 2-3) pullover sweaters, but that was it - everything else was a cardigan. Over the last year or so I've found my appetite for chunky sweaters coming back to me. (Kind of like when I had my first margarita after my body banned tequila.) Today definitely felt like a chunky Monday kind of day. (Not to be confused with Chunky Monkey, which honestly sounds pretty tasty right this second.)
Tomorrow, my friends, I will be seeing Justin Timberlake in concert for the second time this year. Yes, life is rough, and I've spent the last hour of my life trying to figure out what to wear. I have to go straight from work to the concert, hence the conundrum. Stay tuned to hear all about my outfit and the show!
I definitely read the title as "Chunky Monkey"...#icecreamonthebrain Still thinking about Jeni's the other night! I'm going to drag Chandler there with me because I need more!
ReplyDeleteTotally do it! I could so use a scoop or four right now!

So love this sweater!!! I know how you feel, I use to be all about cardigans; sadly though you can barely get me in one now. LOL

Ha! Glad you can relate! Thanks for the note - I wish the sweater were still available so you could enjoy it, too!!
DeleteI've definitely experienced fashion burnout on items. This looks great on you though, so I'm glad you came back around. And oh, the troubles in your life of having to decide what to wear to see JT for the SECOND time this year! ;) Can't wait to see what you choose!

It's funny to see how our tastes come full circle sometimes. I feel that way about the chambray shirt. Back when they were simply just called denim shirts in the 90s. Then I wouldn't have ever thought to wear them for a decade or so, and now I couldn't live without it in my closet!
DeleteWait, JT 2 times in one year. You are only lucky lady! I'm stopping by from Style Elixir! Would love to have you swing by my blog <3
