I love layering basics to make an outfit a little more special. I had originally grabbed a chambray to layer under this sweater, but spotted this plaid shirt and liked the idea of the plaid peeking out. Just add a statement necklace, chunky bracelet, and  fun booties, and this becomes one of my favorite fall looks so far this season. And this jacket - I bought it in San Francisco - tried it on and it was amazingly comfy and tailored for me, I knew I would regret not buying it. And I'm glad it did, considering it's sold out on Zara's website now. I'm definitely a bit prep today, but I dig it.
