If you're looking for reviews on the new Peter Pilotto Target collabo, you've come to the wrong place. To be honest, nothing really excited me about this collection at all, and this is the first of the last 4 collaborations that I'm passing on. I figured since I am not partaking in this collection, I may as well re-wear something from the latest one - you can see my original outfit here. Man, I was much tanner back then…
I have been wanting to style this again, but couldn't make up my mind on what to do. Since I went with the more daring pairings of stripes and peep toe booties the first time, I decided to make it a little more rodeo feeling with the chambray and boots. Ok, so that wasn't my actual intention, but I'll admit, I did feel a bit rodeo once I was dressed. Perhaps it's the Texan deep down inside me missing the rodeo festivities currently happening at home!
So tell me, have you shopped the Peter Pilotto collection yet? Love it or hate it?

Such a pretty skirt, I love the color and pattern!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tara! I really need to wear this more!
DeleteI'm with you, not really a big fan of the Peter Pilotto collection...it just doesn't speak to me for some reason. I do love your outfit today though!
ReplyDeleteKellie @ www.ie-style.com
Thank you!
DeleteI finally went to see the collection in person, and it was even some of the pieces that I *thought* were a little appealing on other bloggers, I wasn't feeling in real life. Oh well. My wallet survived a collaboration!
Although I liked the colors in the Peter Pilotto stuff, it was all too LOUD for me so I passed. I haven't really gotten into any of the Target collabs except Philip Lim, I still carry that bag every day! I like the way you styled the skirt BOTH times, although I may slightly favor the Rodeo version. But next time please add Cowboy boots and a golden lasso a la Wonder Woman to make it official! Hee hee. -Gina
ReplyDeleteOn the Daily Express
Hahaha - thanks for the laugh! This skirt would be perfect with that stripe Express tank and some flat sandals for the summer! Ooh, choices!
DeleteI thought it was just me but I certainly wasnt so impressed with the PP stuff.....this PL skirt hit the mark though!!!

Yes - this skirt is pretty great. Thank you!
DeleteI wasn't thrilled about the last collaboration either. This skirt looks super cute on you. I can't wait for Spring to bust out my shorter skirts. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am glad I am in good company!
DeleteThanks for the note - hope your weekend was great as well!
Girl you look awesome !! love your top and boots :) xx
ReplyDeletewww.ambifashion.com
Thanks so much! Cognac was an easy pairing with this skirt!
DeleteI thought I was the only one, nothing was that crazy exciting, the only thing that I liked was the dress Wendy styled yesterday, and even she had to "alter" it somehow with her belt. But this skirt is awesome, and I love your sunnies.
ReplyDeleteNatalia
Yes, she looked fab in that dress! The belt really grounded the entire look!
DeleteI've also found that I get excited about these pieces, but once I wear them once, they're less likely to make it back into my rotation as often as my other stuff. Which is another reason that I thought perhaps it's best to simply pass.
I love your look! Such a great transition into Spring look!

Thanks, Ashley - now if spring could just get here already...
DeleteI love this whole look. The necklace is just perfect and the boots and shirt go so well with the skirt.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Tracy! I wish this necklace was still available so everyone else could partake in it also! It's great!
Deletegreat look, darling! xxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by! <3
Deletethe only collab i partook in was the missoni one. (oh, and the mulberry) even then, i wasn't wowed...it was more the hype. now i don't even bother. love the boots here!

$600 SPRING Giveaway!
Ha - what's funny is that is probably the only one I didn't partake in, and I wish I did. I really wanted one of the framed art pieces!
DeleteOh well! Thanks for stopping by and for the nice note!
I loved this print from the Phillip Lim collection! The skirt is really cute on you and perfect with a denim shirt. I did like a lot in the Peter Pilotto collection though, picked up a black and white shirt and a summer shirt dress.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see how you style everything! I do like it on other people but just didn't like anything for myself this time?
DeleteLove this outfit! The skirt is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletexo, Ashleigh @ Fashion in Flight
Thank you! The cobalt in it makes it such a fun print!
DeleteI wasn't excited about the Peter Pilotto collection either. I'm not big on busy prints. So... Yeah... Not so much for me. I do love that skirt though and I think it is paired wonderfully with the denim shirt and boots.
ReplyDeleteThat's what's funny is I usually love me a good print, but even this was a bit much for me somehow. The shapes are great, but I would have loved simpler prints I think? Not sure.
DeleteI really love this skirt and I like how you styled it both times. I always feel a little rodeo with cowboy boots on lol ;) I hadn't bought anything from the collection when I looked it over I didn't see anything I was too crazy about either! Maybe next collabo :)
ReplyDeleteYes - it's always fun to at least wait and see what the next designer has in store! The anticipation about it all is fun!
DeleteAnd thank you so much!
Love this look! & I'm with you on not being into the new collab collection-- there were some nice pieces overall, but nothing that called my name or seemed super versatile. Fingers crossed for the next one!

jenna @ sincerelyjennamarie
Yes - that's probably it - nice pieces, but not nice enough to take up real estate in my closet.
DeleteAlways looking forward to the next one!
Loving this look Carylee. The print on the skirt is beautifully and love how you kept it the main focus of the outfit. Moment of truth, I have never bought from any of the target collabortations..:(. Didnt find this out that fantastic either..

Love this little confession! Honestly my most favorite things I've bought are from the Neiman Marcus collabo - I wear the gloves, scarf, and sweatshirt I bought from that incessantly, but not so much from the other collections.
DeleteI keep having this collabo popping up, but being British, it doesn't really mean anything to me! Anyway, this skirt is lovely!

Good point - that's funny to "witness" a collaboration from another country!
DeleteBut thank you for the nice note!
This is such a stylish, cute look!:) I love the skirt!

Thank you, Steph! Happy you stopped by!
DeleteThat is such a cute skirt! I really like it with the chambray shirt :)
ReplyDeleteWe don't get many designer collaborations at targets here in Australia - I think the last one was Roberto Cavalli? And they certainly don't cause the same level of mad sell out that the US ones seem to :)
Away From Blue
Pretty sure that's because us Americans go a bit overboard! Ha!
DeleteThanks for putting up with us and for reading! :)
I love this skirt! I bought this skirt, but I sadly returned it! It looks so much better on you! I love it with the denim top!

Aww - I find that hard to believe, but thank you!
DeleteIf I had seen either of your two fabulous outfits with this skirt I would have run out and bought it for myself! I love both of them, you look amazing! I just love the way your skirt looks with chambray!
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you so much! Very sweet - this print is so fun, I'm pretty pleased with the skirt!
DeleteI really love this look, Carylee! So cute and fun. That chambray fits you so well.

Thank you! This chambray is def my favorite! Everyone needs one!
DeleteNope, but I have three dresses from the Philip Lin collection which I love including the dress in the same pattern as your skirt. Thanks for coming back and linking up with us at the #WWDParty.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I would love to see you in them! I loved the sweater type dress with this print but it was too long on me!
DeleteThanks for hosting!!
I really like how you styled this skirt in both posts Carylee. This was actually one of my fave pieces from the Phillip Lim for Target collection last year still don't know why I didn't get this one too haha! The first outfit makes me miss summer so much; you really are very tan and summery there! XOXO, Elif
ReplyDeletehttp://theboxqueen.com
I can't wait to get back to my tan and summery self! :)
DeleteAnd aww - wish you would have gotten it - would loved to see how you style it!
Cute outfit. Lovely look and gorgeous photos!
