The husband says that he only ever sees the top of my head. Yes, I'm an iPhone addict, and I admit it. He got an iPhone before I did, and I fought him and fought him at first before I got mine. I was happy with my Palm Treo. I didn't "need all that." And now, I am not sure how I ever survived without it. What did we use to do when we were bored? Or when you're acting like you're not witnessing whatever awkwardness is going on around you? Or when you see an actor on TV and can't remember what else they've starred in? Or when you wanted to shop a flash sale but had a meeting at the time the sale was starting? Or when you see something completely random and NEED to take a photo of it because no one would ever believe you otherwise? Frankly, I can't remember the last time I actually used my phone as a phone.
I decided to poke fun at my addiction by posing with my phone as my favorite accessory. I love to dress my phone in Kate Spade cases (because I'm also a Kate Spade addict.) They've definitely improved their cases over the last couple of years - they used to come off when you dropped your phone, but this current design stays put and the patterns and prints are always so playful and fun. I've had this particular case for almost 4 months now, which is probably a new record for me and also probably why I'm craving a new one. :)

I totally use my phone to avoid the awkward situation. I love the polka dots and booties.
ReplyDeleteHaha - it comes in handy when I travel for work and have to eat at a restaurant by myself! :)
Deletehaha--years ago, I had to get blood drawn, and that kind of stuff freaks me out, so I played a game on my phone with one hand while they were torturing my other arm. That strategy worked very well. :P In reality, I'm not that much of a phone girl.
ReplyDeleteI do love your pants, though. Those are like the happiest pants in the whole world: bright blue + polka dots???!!!
Well, glad you can relate to a certain extent! I totally can't look either when getting blood drawn!! And they can never find any veins, but that's a whole other story! :) And thank you! I love these pants so much and they don't get enough air time!
DeleteLove both ways you styled these pants. :) And high 5 for being a former Palm Treo user! LOL! I loved mine too!
ReplyDeleteOn the Daily Express
I had TWO treos! They were the best! But then Sprint pissed me off and I decided if I was going to break up with them, I may as well get an iPhone and my life has never been the same since.
DeleteI'm disappointed in my styling only because I went with the same color top for both looks! I need to experiment with other colors! But thank you!
I'm so attached to my phone. I need to let it go sometimes! Love your necklace!
ReplyDeleteYes, I definitely need to also!
DeleteAnd thank you! I highly recommend it - it's not heavy at all and a great statement piece!
I am totally attached to my iPhone too! I don't know what I ever did without one!

Yes my phone is basically the only thing that I would turn around and go home for if I forgot it. :)
DeleteSo fab and I love your booties!!!
ReplyDeletexo, Lee
Thanks, Lee! I think this may be their first time on the blog. Which makes me sad because they're so fun! I need to change that for sure.
DeleteI used to be the same way, I swore I would never get an Iphone "what's the big deal?" I used to say, and now I also wonder how I ever survived before. BTW I love this sweater on you.

Thanks, Natalia! And yes, I had that same thought. I'd get so irritated with him when he was on his all. The. Time. Never say never, right?
DeleteI am addicted to my phone but am trying (and failing) to use it less... I don't want the babes to learn my bad habits!
ReplyDeleteAww - good point! But you have so many good qualities that can outshine the shameless phone addiction!
DeleteI am a recent Kate Spade addict myself (and ALWAYS need to have my phone on me---all the reasons you mentioned are SO right!) Love your outfit and the different textures!

Thank you so much! I was loving the texture mix, too! Felt perfect for cold weather, although it actually "warmed" up that day - of course!
DeleteI am totally obsessed with my iPhone too! I most recently used it to stream NY Fashion Week live :) Love your pants, and those booties are gorgeous!

Thank you so much!
DeleteAnd...Why have I not thought of that???! Genius!
I can not believe you all still have so much snow. It is 84 degrees here and humid. It angered me that I sweated my makeup off before school pickup. Not to mention before I even arrived at my volunteering position that my hair fried up with all this humidity; bad perm look is not cute. I'm not ready for Summer weather like this. Back to your post...you got style, you got grace...love, love!

Well, it's a slushy mess now because we got a ton of rain and it's "warmed" up to the 40s!
DeleteBut yes, that's one reason why i don't think I could move back to San Antonio - it's way too hot and humid! I love visiting though and miss it everyday!
You are the cutest girl! Love this outfit and the tiny details :)

DeleteLove the chevron necklace!!! I agree with you...I'm always drooling over the Kate Spade iPhone cases!!
ReplyDeleteThey're just so fun! And delicious like hard candy!
DeleteI'm definitely guilty of this as well, which is why I mad emy new years resolution to stay off my phone! I now leave my phone upstairs in the evening so that I can hang out with Tyler instead. It's hard sometimes though! I am obsessed with J. Crew cases, but I've never tried Kate Spades! May have too!!
ReplyDeletewww.amemoryofus.blogspot.com
It's definitely hard! It feels good and is treacherous all at the same time to stay away from it!
DeleteSeriously recommend her cases - I love them all!
Love those pants! And I totally know what you mean about phone addiction. Gorgeous case, too. I think I need to add a Kate Spade phone case to my wish list!
ReplyDeleteYes, every girl should! They're really great - such a good fit and not bulky at all. The husband is jealous because it's the perfect sized case, but they don't make boy styles :)
DeleteLove those polka dots! So cute! You have so many great fashion ideas I would never think of.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very big compliment - thank you, Elizabeth!
DeleteCute addictions! Loving those pants- and girl- we need a close up of those nails!!!

Yay for a fellow KS case user!! I find that most couples both have iPhones or both don't. I seldom find only one of them have it. At least not for that long! I don't know why?
