This is an unusually happy Monday for me because I just LOVE springing forward! Even though I lose an hour of sleep, it is just the best time of the year because that means more daylight! On top of all this, I'm just getting back from a long weekend in Florida watching Cardinals baseball spring training. Not only do I feel refreshed from work (since I actually turned off my work email on my phone), but I had a great shopping day while I was down there. Be sure to tune in later this week for my first ever dressing room photos and review post!
It was great seeing sunshine and palm trees, feeling heat and humidity! I squeezed in a pedicure right before we left for the airport because I had every intention of wearing open toed shoes while we were there! These Sam Edelman wedge sandals were perfect! I love how they basically go with anything and everything - they were the one sandal I brought with me on the trip for this reason.

4 - Jacket: Express (old) | Scarf: Express | Top: Splendid | Jeans: Delias
I wore them shopping and at the airport to and from Florida - that should tell you how comfortable they are! Since they looked a little narrow in the stock photo, I sized up from a 6 to a 6.5 because my foot is a little on the wide side. The shoe itself runs a little long in the footbed, so I was worried it would look too big on me. Once I've been walking in them though, they're fine since my foot naturally falls forward to fill the gap from my toes to the front edge of the shoe.
We are actually going to hit SEVENTY degrees today! Can you believe it? I couldn't pass up the chance to wear the sandals again today, especially since they're calling for snow again on Wednesday. But let's not talk about that, right now!
Be sure you visit Gina and Skye today also, because they'll show you how they've chosen to style these sandals, too! Versatile, I'm telling you!

Whoa! Holy versatility of sandals, batman! I didn't realize I'd be getting so many bonus styling and outfit options from you today! I am also thinking I should update my post with sizing info...you're so smart. And yes, the sandals are SO comfortable! Can't wait for the Shopping Spree with Carylee this week! :) -Gina

Ha! I learned the sizing bit when I was trying to tell everyone how perfect the JCF chambray was.
DeleteAnd I'm glad you like my outfits. Lots going on but it's amazing how much the sandals honestly just disappear. It's the perfect neutral!
I've enjoyed the warmer weather we had last weekend too. Love your new sandals. They look so comfy as well. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it sounds like everyone warmed up a bit, even if it's only for a couple days! Gives us hope!
DeleteThanks for the comment!
Those sandals really are amazing! Love how you showed many ways to wear them! Looking good as always Carylee!

You're so sweet, Erica- thank you!
DeleteI always wanted these sandals, they are so so cute.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I missed them when they were originally out! They're just perfect! Thank you for commenting!
DeleteI love love how you styled the wedge with all the different prints. Man do you really know how to mix and match! Yesterday I looked in my closet and thought, "how would Carylee wear this?" I buy so many things, never wear them, because I just go right back to my basics unless I'm heading out to dinner, then I go glam...NOT your glam, but I sure could use your help. LOTS OF IT!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day mon chérie

Those pants are rockin!!! You look so adorale!!!
ReplyDeleteIt seriously took forever to find a great pair of olive pants - so happy with these!
DeleteSo jealous you got to be in the warm sunshine!! I guess I can't really complain though, because like you, we are having a spring warm up for a few days here before the next snow. Loving all your outfits from your trip! Totally in love with the sandal!!!! I'm pretty sure I saw the same pair at Nordstrom Rack this weekend too (the price was the same).
ReplyDeleteKellie @ www.ie-style.com
Skye actually found hers at the Rack so they are probably the same pair! You need them, too! :)
DeleteYes this weather is whack but at least we can all have hope!!
Thank you!!
No, I can't believe you're getting up to 70 degrees! We're hitting an all-time high of 47 degrees today in about 3 months. Can't complain I guess. Those sandals look super comfy. I also really like the color of your bag. It goes so well with the army green pants.

Yes- the temp in the car showed 78 driving home yesterday. Can you believe it?! But alas I'm spending the rest of the week in Michigan for work. So I will be feeling your pain!!
DeleteWhere in Michigan? Not to make it worse, but they're predicting 4-7 inches of snow tomorrow. :-(
DeleteWelp, was supposed to be in Flint, but they cancelled my flight!! Looks like the earliest I can make it out there is Thursday because tomorrow's flights are canceled too!! Really throws my week for a loop!!
DeleteCarylee, I am so excited when I can pull out my denim jacket again. You have some great spring weateher there but spring is coming to germany as well YEAH. There is sth that I love about olive skinny jeans and especially in combo with the pink bag, it does look super refreshing :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great start in the week dear :-)

Yay for SPRING!! And yes, it's awesome when a denim jacket is all you need!
DeleteThanks so much for the nice note!
Those are the perfect sandals - I have a similar pair. I must say your coral necklace & bag are quite perfect too. Very nice Olive skinnies too. I can't wear my Olive Skinny Pants enough. So much inspiration in this post. I seriously pinned everything. Thank you. =)
ReplyDeleteHaha - thank you!! Happy to inspire! Thanks so much!
DeleteSo nice to see warmer weather outfits; where in Florida did you go?
ReplyDelete.... I was talking to my boss this morning and I came up with the perfect solution for this "daylight savings" we should go back one hour so we wake up and the sun is already out (hate waking up when it's dark) and since Americans hate #13 so much, we just get rid of 1 o'clock, the day jumps from 12:59 to 2 and it will still be bright and sunny when we get out of work, plus we'll have one less hour of work... sounds perfect? right?
Natalia
You are a freaking genius! I totally am in support of your recommendation!
DeleteWe were in Jupiter, FL. Never been before and it was just so amazing!!
Cute outfit! Loving your necklace and shoes!!! So spring.
ReplyDeletexo, Lee
The pendant on the necklace is removable! I didn't realize that when I first added it to my cart. Such a versatile piece!

It's very classic and quite neutral! Was so happy to land upon these sandals!
DeleteLook at all those outfit you used the sandals with; amazing! The F&C bag is looking great btw! :) I love the leopard detailing on the sandals and they look so cool with jeans. I love wedges for everyday; so comfy but gives me some extra height which I love ! You make me want to go shopping; I always look for excuses for shopping and your outfits and blog is definitely the best excuse with all the cuteness! XOXO, Elif @ theboxqueen
ReplyDeleteYou are just too sweet! I literally wore these sandals every day since last Wednesday - my feet survived, and then some! They're really great! You need them! :)
DeleteThese sandals are ADORABLE! I always have trouble in the summer between wanting something stylish but also something comfortable. These look like they fit the bill! I'm also SUPER jealous of your FL trip. We hit 55 degrees today which felt like summer after this awful winter, but I'd take ACTUAL summer weather any day!
