Sunnies: Gucci | Necklace: Banana Republic | Blazer: The Limited | Dress: Bailey 44 (option) | Bracelet: Tasha (option) | Bag: Gucci | Boots: Christian Louboutin
Well, the weather is dumb. It has hit the upper 70s as recent as last Friday - we ate lunch outside on a patio, it was amazing. This week, we got snow. Granted, it was all gone by the time the sun came out, but it's still freaking cold! So, since I can't solely turn to my sandals and other open toed shoes, I figured I'd wear my favorite boots one more time. I'd like to think this will be the last time I can pull off knee high boots. Please. Please be the last time! In other news, I'm thinking this blazer will be the perfect finishing piece for the spring and summer. It's lightweight, a chambray type material, with a subtle dot pattern. I see lots of potential in this - dressing it both up and down!

I feel exactly the same way you feel about this weather. It's no different here in the NW. On Monday it was sunny and beautiful; today it was almost a rain storm. Love that you are giving a couple last chances to your boots ( they are really cute too!!!) I have mine rotation still as well! Love that two color dress with stripes and even more the chambray jacket! Perfect spring transition pieces, you would just need to switch the shoes with sandals and voila you would have a great spring outfit! Do I even need to mention the bag!!!! Out of this world hahaha! XOXO, Elif @ theboxqueen
ReplyDeleteThanks so so so much!!! I love this dress. I always want to wear it and honestly have not truly ever styled it for warmer weather! Can't wait to do that! And I do love these boots, but my feet are longing for consistent sunlight!
DeleteI am so sick of this weather too! I love the versatility of this blazer. I like how you wore it with the boots but then plan on using it when we finally get spring for good. :) Loving the necklace for the extra pop.

I was on the hunt for a perfect crystal necklace, and this one is proving to be extra versatile! Can't wait to style it again, along with the blazer! Thanks for reading!
DeleteOh, you poor thing, you HAD to wear your CL boots. ;) Hee hee. Sorry you are having so much weather whiplash, though! And yes, I think that chambray blazer will be extremely versatile- can't wait to see all the ways you wear it!

Hahah yes this is definitely a #caryleeproblem !!
DeleteI'm so happy I found this blazer! And in case you didn't know, you have definitely influenced me to shop more jackets/blazers. I can't remember the last time I bought a cardigan!!
I love how you styled that blazer! I've been eyeing a similar one (chambray-colored) but was still thinking through possibilities - I think I've been convinced!
ReplyDeleteYay! Happy to help! Last summer I tied my chambrays over dresses - this blazer will have that same purpose, just more polished!
DeleteGorgeous outfit xx
ReplyDeleteSassy, Hot, Perfection are the words I think of when you strike a pose in those gorgeous pieces you wear. And since we wear the same size shoe, if one day you think you would like to bless me with a pair of your Louboutin, I would not argue with that.

Thanks, Marianne! It wants to be spring SO bad! The boots made this feel more like a transition outfit for me!
DeleteCute bag. And, love the sunnies.
ReplyDeleteThey're the perfect pair for each other! Thank you!
DeleteI love your nail polish, and how you're rockin' boots with the skirt. I know that's not uncommon, but I can never seem to wear boots with a skirt or dress without leggings or tights underneath. Very cute girl.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! :) I know some people have an aversion to wearing tall boots with bare legs! I do definitely think there is a proportion to keep - i.e. I like there to be clear separation from the bottom of my skirt to the top of my boots! And it definitely helps when your boots are molded to your legs! Thanks again!!
DeleteI adore your combo of this classy jacket and striped skirt, matching red+white+blue is always perfect! And you have amazing necklace!

Thank you so much! I love that this is a little twist on nautical!
DeleteI am so over this back and forth weather too! Why won't spring just grace us with it's presence? I'm glad you are making the most of it and enjoying your cute boots once last time. That skirt is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ashley! I guess I can't complain too much - at least we were able to get some sun!
DeleteLoving this stripe on stripe action you got going on! I hear you on the dumb weather. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm so beyond over it! It's hard not to complain about it over and over, and I'm sure in a few weeks I'll be complaining about the heat!!!
DeleteThe weather really needs to start being consistent! I love love love the chambray blazer, it really does scream warmth and spring! You look lovely!!

Thank you very much!! So happy I found the blazer!
DeleteThank you so much for stopping by!!
ReplyDeleteSo cool that that is a dress. I love the double stripes. I am looking for a Chambray-type Blazer too and I agree they are seasonless. Gorgeous necklace too, to top it off. =)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I never thought about a chambray blazer until I came across this one! But it's truly genius! Thanks!!
