My first Loubies





Sunnies: Oakley (option) | Bracelet: Can't remember! | Bag: Kate Spade (option, funky option) | Dress: Express (option, option, option, splurge)   | Wedges: Christian Louboutin (option, budget option)

Ahh, I remember it like it was yesterday. I was sitting downstairs in the basement, surfing the internet and I came across these sandals on a website called Roanshop.com. A friend of mine had been to this store in person, so although I had never heard of it before, I knew it was reputable. They had these beauties on sale for at least 50% off their retail price.
Christian Louboutin I Love – Roan
I loved the shape of the wedge, and well, I'm a sucker for anything patent. I had never bought a pair of Christian Louboutins before, and couldn't believe I was about to order my first pair. They only took orders over the phone, which was good because then I could talk through sizing with her. I'm so all over the place with sizing for Louboutins. (If you missed my post from back in the day about Louboutins, you can read it here.) She suggested I size up, and I'm glad I listened because they fit perfect.

I was excited to reach for them again today to pair with this dress. (First seen here.) Once I had the dress and the wedges on, I literally said out loud, "I feel like I need a basket." For some reason I felt picnic ready in this! I looked up and saw this bag on a shelf, and then said out loud (yes I talk to myself a lot), "Speaking of a basket!…" And voila! The outfit was complete.

    Such a shame Bloggers Closet isn't available in the UK - I would be all over yours, Carylee! I love the dress, the purse and the wedges - I am such a sucker for wedges, and your first Louboutins are a special memory too! I think my first were my civil ceremony high heeled sandals (Jimmy Choo Couture for the main church event!). Gorgeous xx

    Those are some cute wedges! Congrats on your first pair of Louboutins. I love wedges, but I always look like a giant when I wear them...ugh. The curse of being 5'8 lol. The purse was a really nice touch to your lovely dress by the way.
