I think I have singlehandedly led Express' lace campaign. I buy one lace piece after another, and I just can't seem to stop. I feel like there are so many uses for these pieces - anything I can envision styling at least 3 ways without much thought is a definite buy for me. And just when I get myself all excited about one thing - I discover another great lace piece. Like this dress. But first, let me refresh your memory on the others I've recently bought/worn:
1 and 2: Baroque Tiered Lace Tank
3 and 4: Lace Babydoll Tunic Tank (and then wearing the black version here)
So much awesomeness, amiright? And I feel like I've been looking for the perfect lace dress FOREVER. I do have this one here, and while I adore it, it's more preppy and less boho like I've been picturing and wanting. So when I saw this on Express' site, I had to snatch it up immediately. It's clearly a lot longer on my 5'-2" frame than it is on the model. I ordered two sizes for comparison, and while I could have done a small, I did prefer the looser shape, so decided to keep the medium.
Necklace: Express (option, option) | Bag: Kate Spade (option, option) | Jacket: JCrew Factory | Bracelet: Express | Dress: Express | Shoes: Pedro Garcia (budget option)
I'm watching Friends on Nick at Nite as I write this. Things I watch tend to really stick to me, which is why I hate watching horror movies or really dark, mind-twisting movies. I end up dreaming about whatever it is I was watching, and I can't shake that bad, eery feeling. So, I swear that with the madness on the news lately, the best way for me to turn things off and just relax my mind is to watch some Friends. Perhaps that's me shutting my eyes to everything, but sometimes laughter is the best medicine. As is shopping.

Thanks so much! This bag was a great sale find! Definitely light and summery!
DeleteI'm glad to see that you followed through with your Leo obligation and got yourself a white dress in your birthday month! I am shocked at how much longer that is on you vs the model. On the long sleeved version it was short on me and I'm not much taller than you either. Still gushing over your IG post and will be downloading some new apps today!

That's so funny! I was looking in the mirror today thinking- she must be 6-feet tall! It's literally a mini dress on her!
DeleteAnd you're welcome again :)
Beautiful, yet relaxed dress...good find!! I love it with the lighter denim jacket too!
ReplyDeleteKellie @ www.ie-style.com
This is the best denim jacket if you're in the market for one! I have 3 and this is my favorite hands down because of fit and wash. And yeah- that's exactly why I wanted the dress one size up so it looks more relaxed and less dressy.
DeleteThanks!!
Gorgeous dress! You always style with the best accessories! Loving that blue bag and those heels!

ReplyDeleteI have to agree as well, I've been watching a ton of Wes Andersen films this week because I get absorbed into the intricate and carefully laid out world which is comforting. It's a break from the reality.
Thanks for linking up this week!
