Last night was my first official St. Louis Fashion Week event, outside of the kickoff party, of course! It was a Fashion Chat and Presentation at Neiman Marcus benefiting the Center of Creative Arts (COCA.) The presentation featured accessories by Lisa Freede and fashion picks from the Frank & Eileen and Jonathan Simkhai collections. I think the easiest way to sum up the night for you is to simply show you through photos.
Guys, I'm not sure what this even was - all I know was that it was topped with white chocolate chips, which basically gives me the green light to eat it.
Great turnout! Part of the fun is not only soaking in the runway fashion, but also enjoying the spectator fashion!
I keep wanting to call them the judges! NOT judges, *designers*
Lisa Freede, Jonathan Simkhai, Audrey McLoghlin (creative director of Frank & Eileen)
It was extra fun to check out everything up close and personal after the presentation was over. So tempting not to get one of each!
The presentation was a great mix of edgy, preppy, feminine, chic. A little something for everyone. Above are my favorite pieces of the night. Yes, that's a plaid elbow patch. And oh how I wish I could rock a cropped top! The geometry of the skirt is so fun, and the whole ensemble is made from scuba material, which provides extra structure that I love.
I feel like this event was a little teaser of what is to come! Tonight is another blogger event - a cocktail party, so to speak, and I'm looking forward to spending more time with some of the most fashionable people of St. Louis! As you can imagine, it's been very tough trying to outfit plan for all of this! The struggle is real!

Lol I can imagine all the mirror selfie you must take while planning these outfits, but it's worth it because you always look fabulous.

Ha! I love the way you put that! It seriously took a good hour of dressing and taking selfies then re-dressing, then taking more selfies! The struggles!!
DeleteFirst, you look fabulous!! I can't even being to imagine the thought process for trying to decide what to wear to these events!! Loving the necklaces you show here and I'm so happy to see that elbow patch!! I love elbow patch (even tho I don't own anything), and then plaid on top of that... <3!!

Yes! Elbow patches and plaid are also my weakness! What you can't see is the sweater also has side zippers as well! It's the perfect collage of all things I love!
DeleteAnd yes - outfit planning is horrible! For someone with so much stuff, you suddenly feel like you don't have enough when you have to dress for things like this!
Haha, Rachelle totally called it on the mirror selfie taking for outfit planning. But it's the ONLY WAY. That first picture of you is just so gorgeous. I love the way your outfit turned out. The show looks like so much fun and I'm also digging that asymmetrical skirt!!

It was a lot of fun! And they kept saying that this was nothing compared to the big runway shows this week, so i can't even imagine! I do feel a bit more relaxed now that I've met more of the bloggers, but still!! The struggle is real!!
DeleteThis event looks like so much fun, and your outfit was perfect! Good luck finding one for tonight, it is always so hard to pick when you know you are going to be amongst other fashionistas!

Yes, that was such a hard choice! Nothing felt special enough! In the end I've been happy with everything I've chosen to date! But it took a lot of effort to come to these decisions!
DeleteThe end result is all that matter and you look fabulous. Love the dress!!!

For reals, it's hard! Happy so far with how everything has turned out! A few more events to go!
DeleteMe too! Would be so fun!!
ReplyDeleteYour outfit choice is perfection - I especially love the shoes you chose...I guess that's the advantage of having an amazing shoe collection LOL - you're bound to have the perfect one for each outfit!
ReplyDeleteWell thanks! I almost wore the same pair of shoes two nights in a row but thought that would be blasphemy considering how many I have! So I switched things up a bit so I could wear different pairs!!
DeleteGreat outfit - this looks like a great event!
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and I hope to see you this week!

DeleteWhat a fantastic event and you looked spectacular for it. That dress with the leather jacket is so edgy and sexy. I am loving those amazing chain/pave necklaces and that 2 piece scuba-made outfit, especially the fab skirt.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great fashion presentation! I could have bought so many things if money were no object!
