Random roundup

I'm so happy to feel like I'm catching up on life! I'm actually pre-writing this post for you on a Sunday afternoon vs. Thursday late at night like I have been for the past few weeks! Hope everyone has some fun things planned! I'm looking forward to doing lots of nothing! But first, here's your random roundup!

This is one of those outfits that just kind of came together and after all was said and done, I loved it, and it was way fancier than I intended to be! I pulled out this skirt because I needed comfort. Once I added the heels and embellished studs, I was surprised how much effort it actually appeared I put into this. It was really an easy outfit though in all honesty. And I'm sooooo excited this jacket now comes in olive and you better believe it's ordered and headed my way as we speak!

I seriously have a newfound appreciation for my pumps lately. Which is great because I feel like I've been making good rounds in my shoe collection lately. A pencil skirt and stripes is such an easy way to dress up with little fuss, and the heels give me just the glam I need to feel interesting.

I felt like this dress would have been a good Derby day stand in for me. The shape is perfect, all I needed was a big straw hat and bright red lips! And perhaps something a little dressier than this denim jacket. Not that there's anything wrong with this jacket, it's actually the most amazing denim jacket that was ever created, so.

One of the reasons why I have a newfound appreciation for my heels is because of these flats. I've been wearing these flats to/from my desk from the car every day, and it's really preserved my feet! Our parking lot is a land mine of cracks in the pavement, and I always feel like I have to walk very slow and carefully so I'm neither breaking my heels nor my neck. These flats are the most comfortable I've ever own, and they're getting pretty worn out, which gives me anxiety. I'm glad they're available again on JCrew Factory's site because I really need a backup pair! Anyway, my point to this long story is on this particular day, I had an 8:30 meeting up 3 flights of stairs, and basically the furthest point in the office building from my desk. I figured I'd change into my heels after that meeting so I could maneuver up the stairs with my laptop and coffee mug just fine. I ended up never changing into them, but that's ok, right? Because every day doesn't ALWAYS need a pair of heels!

And last but not least is one of my favorite dresses. You can see it in proper photos here. It was very rainy and I had a bridal shower to attend. I was glad to pull out an old favorite for the occasion, and I swear these blush heels go with EVERYthing.
