Happy Thursday!! I am in Providence, RI as we speak, so I thought this was a good time to leave you with a recap from Tuesday's Kendra Scott Happy Hour event! If you've been following my blog for awhile, I'm sure you've noticed that I've just recently started posting more regularly about the brand. The local store opening definitely has a lot to do with that, but you can read all of the details here. The short story is that based on everyone I have interacted with, everything I've read, and all of the pieces I've gotten to wear - it's really just a down-to-earth, grass roots, quality company. Naturally I could not pass up this happy hour event, and I was relieved that my travel schedule didn't interfere with me attending!
The whole premise was that we stop in, take in some light bites and drinks, and shop the new Mirror Mirror collection. Kendra Scott was gracious enough to gift each of us a pair of earrings from the collection, and then we could shop anything in the store, including the Color Bar, for 15% off. Oh! Before I go any further, let me share what I learned about the Color Bar because it was new to me! It's basically customizing your own jewelry - you can pick the style, the metal, and the stone. It works great for bridal parties and being able to coordinate your wedding colors into the jewelry. What's even better though is that the prices are not any more expensive than if you bought a standard piece off the shelf AND they have the tools in store to create your custom jewelry right then and there. Instant gratification is the best! You can schedule events with them if you and a group of friends want to shop together! My mind is racing trying to think of an excuse for why I need to do this….
The store is just as bright and airy as you would expect it to be. The wall behind the cash wrap is called the "Danielle wall" and I love that it changes colors! Another thing to think about if you ever want to host a party there - they can make it any color you want!

And now the good stuff! All the bling! There were so many things I loved, it was really hard for me to narrow down my focus! I definitely had my eye on a lot of the darker metals, the mirror rock crystal, and the pyrite.

I was THISCLOSE in buying the smaller version of the necklace I showed you in Tuesday's post. I want to layer them together so badly, but it's probably just a bit ridiculous. So instead, I ended up getting the small, horizontal bar version of the necklace as well as the coordinating ring. Oh, and a hand bracelet. All in rose gold. I think I have a problem.
Very happy with my acquisitions! I'm a bit bummed that I had to leave town right after this event because my pieces are sitting in my closet room at home instead of on my body as we speak! Seriously cannot wait to style these! I really did lack in the rose gold department, so these were good splurges for me, and it helped fill a void in my jewelry collection. (is what I will tell myself to justify the purchases…..)

Jenna was there, too! It's so nice to have a blogger friend that I know at these events! Though, I was super excited to get to meet Jacqueline from Stylin in St. Louis for the first time in real life! She's a doll, and I hope we get to hang out again soon! I know, I know, I should have taken a photo! You can see her in front of the store on her Instagram here.
I had to end this post with this cookie. Because it lasted about 3 seconds. Jenna was debating on what to buy and while I was listening to her and admiring all of the pieces, in my head I was thinking, "OHEMGEEE this is the best cookie I have eaten in my life!!!!" So I ate a second one. It was a gooey butter cake cookie! Yeah. It sounds as good as its name implies.
