Disclosure: Paperdolls Boutique gave me free merchandise in exchange for my attendance at this event along with this post. However, all views expressed are my own.

Last Thursday I was invited to a Holiday Launch Party for Paperdolls' new website! The night consisted of cocktails, light bites, shopping, grab bags, and a short fashion presentation of some of their holiday-ready ensembles. Jenna and Jacqueline were there as well, and while you already know my love for Jenna is real, I was very psyched to get some face time with Jacqueline!
There are three Paperdolls boutiques in the St. Louis area, and this one is the newest being open around a year in the Delmar Loop. This was my first time ever shopping in one, and I know it won't be my last. They carried a nice mix of on trend styles and your standard basics. Their accessories collection was just as fun and unique as you would expect for a boutique. I found the prices to be very affordable - while there were some splurge items, there were still plenty of other items to choose from in the $50 or under range.
I could basically just live in one of their dressing rooms. Ok, so maybe I couldn't fit all of my shoes in there with me, but how cute are these doors and outfit mockups? Everything in the store, whether it be their products or just their decor, seemed very thoughtfully set up and carefully curated.
We each had the opportunity to either dress a model or dress a mannequin, and I decided to dress one of their models. I loved this dress so much, and if they had one in my size, I may have walked out of the store with it. The soft suede hem was the perfect contrast to the textured tweed! And a basic sheath shape like this is so effortlessly modern. The model was already wearing these lace up heels for the night, but they just happened to work perfectly with the dress. You know I love pairing sweet and sassy!
There are a few other things I've already been eyeing on their website. The plaid scarf ended up coming home with me that night, that was a no brainer. Jacqueline had picked up that fringe poncho, I completely missed it on the rack, and I regret not trying it on. And that fringe clutch is only $17.50 right now?! I'm so weak.

So what did I end up wearing? Well, you saw it in the opening photo, duh, but here are the details. If you remember, I also have this skirt in blush. The sale price was too good to pass up the navy, so I snagged it also. I had a hard time styling it at first because I couldn't get the private school girl uniform out of my head! But this colorblock sweater was such a great pairing with it. My gold pointy toed pumps were seriously perfect. I was able to get away with bare legs since it's been relatively "warm" out this week!
Blogging has given me the opportunity to learn more about so many local boutiques! It's great to introduce them to you, but it is also quite terrible for my wallet. I ended up ordering the poncho and fringe clutch before finishing this post! Oops! I hope you'll check out their site and find some goodies for yourself also!

How fun! You would think San Diego would have more events like these, but sadly I've never been to one. You ladies all look so fabulous! This makes me want to shop...desperately;)
