Today is a little bit special on the blog. I'm celebrating my three year blogiversary! It was technically on Saturday, but I figured I would make today the official celebration! For year one, I had a photographer friend take photos of me re-wearing some of my favorite outfits from that first year. For year two, I wore all of my most favorite and special pieces. I was once again stumped with what to do for year three. I decided to do what I've been doing best this year and style some basics, throw on an amazing jacket, and find an interesting photo spot!

Since my anniversary aligns pretty closely with the New Year, I don't have much to say that I didn't already recap in my 2015 highlights post HERE. What I didn't touch on were trends in my style. I definitely think 2015 trended a lot more casual for me, maybe even the most casual I've ever been. I was all about the basic tops and I bought them in multiples - the knot tee, the U-neck tee, the fluid tee. I also grew quite obsessed with the military jacket last year. Speaking of jackets, I can't forget my favorite moto jacket.

I was trying to pin point what my favorite purchase of 2015 was, and that's just so tough! Though I will say that my white pumps win the award for the purchase that surprised me the most! I can't believe how much I reached for them outfit after outfit. I knew I loved them when I ordered them, I just didn't realize they would go with all the things!!

Speaking of good purchases - this field jacket and camera bag are definitely up there on that list, though they're super recent. I've been coveting both of them for the last few months and finally took the plunge and bought both. I'm so glad I did! I already have the field jacket in two other colors, so I knew I would love the fit - the color is just even better in real life. The camera bag is perfect for blogger events. It's pretty enough to function as an actual purse, but the size and compartments are perfect for my DSLR camera.

It's always fun to do photos in fun locations like this! I really had no idea what I even wanted my backdrop to be. The husband and I drove around town for a bit and we stumbled upon this caboose! Well don't mind if I do! It's classic, fun, colorful, and interesting - everything I hope this blog has been for the last three years! I'm really excited to see what is in store for year 4!
