Happy Friday and happy first day of April!! 2016 is officially one third over and I can't hardly believe it. That's just crazy talk to me! BUT! With April comes baseball, so starting on Sunday, I have something to watch on TV again until October! Ha! No but seriously, I cannot wait! Anyhoo! For today's post, I pulled together some of my most recent selfies as well as some previous blog photos so you can see how I styled the same piece a slightly different way. Let's get started!
The piece: Ruffle detail sweater | Left: Original post here
Right- Sweater: Banana Republic | Necklace: Stella and Dot | Jeans: American Eagle | Heels: Kate Spade
I was unsure of this sweater when I first got it - I didn't know if the ruffle detail was going to be unflattering or not, but the more I see it and wear it, the more I love it. It really is a great transition piece into spring!
Right- Necklace: Kendra Scott (gifted) | Sweater: Halogen | Jeans: Express | Heels: Vince Camuto
Similar colors as the previous sweater, just a different print! This floral sweater is one of my most favorite Nordstrom Anniversary sale purchases ever! It's lasted a couple of years now and still as good as new. And it's even more lightweight than the previous sweater, so I can still wear it when it's 90 degrees outside.
The pieces: Denim jacket plus nude booties | Left: Original post here
Right- Jacket: JCrew Factory | Top: Gap | Necklace: Kendra Scott | Pants: Express | Booties: Sam Edelman
These are slightly different denim jackets, but I wanted to post them together anyway because I'm wearing the same nude booties in both outfits. I seriously could not live without a denim jacket in my collection. Also, I forgot how much I loved these booties. I found myself not wearing my flat boots and booties as much this season. I'm not sure why. But I'm glad I dusted these off because they are great when I want my booties to just disappear.
The piece: Grey and pink plaid top | Left: Original post here
Right- Button up: Express | Tee: Express | Necklace: Kendra Scott | Jeans: Express | Boots: Naya (other colors here)
So this is basically the exact same outfit. I just went with darker, non-destroyed jeans for work, and ditched the pumps for the boots. I went ahead and did a white tee instead of the pink one, for no real reason other than I just didn't feel like wearing the pink one! These plaid tops are a great substitute for a lightweight jacket.
The piece: Purple tapestry scarf | Left: Original post here
Right- Scarf: Express | Chambray: Express | Leggings: bp | Booties: Hinge
This may be the last voluminous scarf you see me wearing on the blog for awhile! I love the tapestry look of this one and how surprisingly versatile it is with other colors!
Before I go, I wanted to give you one last opportunity to enter the Charming Charlie giveaway. You can read the details about it here, but I've inserted the rafflecopter below for your convenience! It runs through midnight tonight and I will announce the winner on Monday. Good luck and have a great weekend!!!

Love this post! So fun to see the different options for styling the same piece. And even though you think the two plaid shirt outfits are "the same" I think they are visually quite different! It was nice knowing you in the off season! haha.

YES! I can't wait for Sunday! I've been saying to my husband for months - I can't wait for baseball to start again so we have something to watch on TV. It's sure to be an interesting season in the NL Central for sure! Go Bucs! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat purple scarf you're waiting in the last two photos is my favourite piece! I'm just waiting for scarf weather here. While it's autumn it's still so hot!
