So I totally had another idea in mind for today's post, but long story short, it just wasn't working so I had to scrap what I did and start this post over at 10:20pm the night before this is supposed to be live. Sigh. Such a blogger problem. My week is always completely thrown off if I cannot write all of my posts on the weekend! And it wouldn't be that bad, but I am one work day away from a week's long vacation, and you all know there is always so much to do before you go! So, why am I even bothering with this post you might ask? Maybe because I'm a glutton for punishment. Or maybe it's because I hate not finishing what I started, even if what I started working on isn't usable content. Alas, I apologize for my rant, let me distract you with some outfits!
Necklaces: Kendra Scott (here and here) | Top: Express (shop current Express Portofino colors and styles here) | Bottoms: Express | Shoes: Vince Camuto
I am absolutely horrible at doing laundry and even though I have about 3-4 pairs of white skinnies, they have all been dirty, hence why you haven't seen me wear any in a super long time. I'm horrible. I *thought* they were all dirty anyway! Turns out, I had one clean pair that I simply hadn't worn because they were a bit snug. Well guess who can fit into them 12 pounds later! Woo! Coral plus white plus turquoise is such a warm weather favorite combo for me!
Scarf: Express | Earrings: Kendra Scott | Top: LOFT | Bottoms: Express | Shoes: Joe's
This is a variation of this outfit I originally wore here. I still haven't found the perfect white/off white tee. While I do like this one, it is quite loose, and though knotting it helps, sometimes you just want to wear a tee regular style, you know? But I do still love how the outfit came out. I forgot how much I still like scarves in the warmer months.
Necklaces: Kendra Scott (here and here) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (option) | Top: Gap (on sale for $5.50 with code "EXTRA") | Bottoms: Gap | Shoes: Converse
As I was linking to this tee, I found it was $5.50 after the discount code. SO, I may have bought it in grey. Even though I just got it in red for about $6 and change. How can I say no when Gap is basically giving them to me for free?!
Top: Express (shop current colors of Express plaid tops here) | Bottoms: Gap | Sandals: Sperry
This is basically the exact same outfit I originally wore here, expect I switched the gingham for plaid. For no real reason other than that these tops are super soft and comfy and it was Monday and I needed that!
Necklace: BaubleBar (options here and here) | Top: Kate Spade | Jeans: AJ Jeans | Heels: Sam Edelman
I pushed my limits a little this day and wore a sleeveless top sans jacket even though it was high 50s when I left in the morning. The cool air didn't bother me for some reason though. (The cold doesn't bother me anywayyyyy…. Couldn't resist.) I actually didn't get chilly until we were out for dinner at around 8pm. I also pushed my limits by wearing destroyed denim to work. I don't think anyone cares, though technically it's in our dress code to not wear ripped clothing. I've only had these jeans for a couple of weeks now but they are so soft and just fit so perfectly. Seriously obsessed.
Woohoo! I made it through! I would have finished a bit sooner had I not been distracted by the Gap sale. I swear they are taking all of my money!!! Anyway, have a great one!!! I am gone next week but I have a full week of guest posts lined up for you, so I hope you'll continue to check in and make my guests feel welcome!
SHOP THE POST:
Ok I have a $5 reward so I have to get this tee now.

Okay, so I bought the Goody elastics to try your shirt tie trick. Now I just need to reference your previous posts to figure out HOW to do it. I'm getting there...and YES you are a glutton for punishment! Have fun on your vacation next week!

Cute outfits! I also really like your hair. I have grown mine out but it is so thick it can be hard to manage sometimes. Any tips on how you do your cute ponytail and top knot? Thanks, Melissa
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!! I think my biggest secret is a good teasing brush! I could not survive without one. My top knot has evolved over the years. I did a tutorial on one of my older methods here- http://bit.ly/the-bun and you can see my teasing brush in that post also. I will try and do more hair tutorials on the blog for the other styles!! And an update on how I currently do the top knot!
DeleteThanks! That would be great!
Deletenice outfits!
