Happy Memorial Day! Hopefully you have been able to unwind and relax this weekend! We just got back from a long weekend in the Detroit metro area. I'll share details of my trip throughout the week, but in honor of the holiday and the official kick off to summer, I thought I would share some of my must-have picks for shorts, starting with this adorable chambray eyelet pair! I'm all about adding some texture to your outfits to create interest and I love that these are a fun twist to a classic chambray.

I can't remember the last time I owned a pair of white denim shorts. I think they felt so 90s to me, not necessarily in a good way, and I avoided them. But, on a whim, I ended up ordering this pair and I'm glad I took a chance on them. They fit great and I can see myself reaching for them as much as I reach for my white skinnies!

I can't resist a good pair of twill shorts! I could own them in every color because they're just so easy and comfy to throw on in the warmer months. I got this pair in berry and in olive. I definitely recommend both because they go with basically everything.

You can see this tee and shorts on me in Friday's post here. I bought these two pieces while I was in Vegas last weekend. Denim shorts are hands down my go-to for the summer and I loved having this option in the railroad stripe. So good! You know I'm just a fan of stripes anyway. On a short, they're even more fun!!

Now I just need a good print to add to this year's shorts collection. I basically want every patterned pair on JCrew Factory's site right now. Decisions, decisions!
