Outfit details:
Necklaces: Kendra Scott (long, short) | Tee: Gap | Shorts: Express | Clutch: Express (current option here) | Sneakers: Converse
I've been doing such a great job recapping the vacation all week, it didn't feel right to throw in my typical non-vacation random roundup selfies to finish the week, and I didn't take enough selifes on their own while on vacation to fill up a whole post. So, I decided to simply provide you with some vacation randoms. Random photos I took during the trip, whether they be top downs, mirror selfies, outfit details, etc. I'm opening this post with a casual dinner outfit I wore our second night there. Shorts and tees were easy to pack and easy to wear. Chino type shorts are my absolute favorite for warm weather.
OPI "Down to the Core-al"
We landed around 11:30am on Sunday, but we couldn't check into our hotel any earlier than 4pm. Naturally, we had to get our nails did. Well, I got a mani and the husband got a pedi. I had to laugh because it was his idea to get the pedicure. We got them together the last time we went to Florida and he's realized how invaluable they are. Who am I do deny his request? I felt the need to pick this beautiful coral color given our palm trees and warm weather atmosphere.
On Saturday, while we were still home, we ran some last minute errands to pick up some things for the trip. The husband bought himself a new Kindle and I was debating on whether or not I wanted a new Fitbit. I loved mine, but it discolored basically immediately from my oils and such. It just looked janky and the husband totally agreed. I almost got the Fitbit Blaze (the watch) but I figured if I was going to get a watch, I couldn't not get the Apple Watch. I'm really happy I decided to cave. I love it! You can read some of my comments about it here.
Since we spent a lot of our time by the pool, I didn't really get to wear the watch continuously throughout the day except for Friday when we went to Universal Studios. 8 hours of consecutive walking only yielded fifteen thousand steps, I was disappointed! Hoped to break 20k!
Tee: Nordstrom | Shorts: Express (similar here) | Bracelet: Kendra Scott | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff
I think I would be completely fine packing only orange and turquoise for a warm weather vacations! I wish this bag were still available so I could make all of you buy it! It's fabulous! There is a crossbody strap, but I removed it to carry it as a clutch for a casual dinner. And don't even get me started on that amazing bracelet!
I told you that I read a book for the first time in forever. I used to read all the time before blogging and now I just can't seem to find the time. I'm hoping that has changed though. I read "If you only knew" while I was there, and I really liked it. It's a super easy read and I always love drama and love stories. I ended up buying "The Best Man" afterwards and I'm almost done with that, too.
Top: Charming Charlie (c/o) | Necklace: Kendra Scott | Shorts: Express (similar here) | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Sandals: Sam Edelman
And last but not least, one more casual dinner outfit. I really love this cold shoulder top from Charming Charlie! It comes in other colors and I'm really tempted!! The white is just really perfect with turquoise - I really need to style it more ways. It's so much fun!
Sadly, that's it! I have officially shared every last detail of our vacation with you and it's bitter sweet! Holiday Inn Club Vacations caught wind of my resort recap on Tuesday and shared it on their Facebook page. That yielded quite a bit of traffic to the blog, and I'm thankful for that! The staff is nice on the property as well as on their social media! You know I appreciate that! Anyway, thanks for reading along and reliving all these moments with me! It was a blast!
