This weekend was probably the most active I have been on Snapchat ever, and that says a lot! There was this suuuuuper long story about a lost dog that we found and all the hoops and internet stalking we had to do to eventually find its owner. If you followed along, thank you! It was quite the ordeal and very mentally exhausting. Such a long story to go into detail about on the blog, but the short story is that we reunited the sweet pup to her owner and I will be keeping my eyes open to make sure I don't see her roaming alone again! Once all of that drama was solved, I had to get ready for a wedding! It's a couple we know through the car club, and while I thought about doing Rent the Runway again for a dress, I decided to pull out this old thing instead.
I bought this dress over 6 years ago and wore it in Mexico during one of the husband's and my anniversary trips back in the day. It was pretty snug back then, and well, it only ended up getting worse, so it's been hanging in my closet unworn since then. I haven't been able to get rid of it even though I've purged my closet a few times since then. It's just such a pretty dress and the print is perfect and unique, I've held onto it "just in case" I was ever able to fit into it again. And now, here we are!
The wedding was held at Willoughby Farm. I had never been there before, but luckily, the husband did a google search while I was getting ready and told me that he was almost positive it was going to be an outdoor wedding in grass. I had already planned to wear my gold SJP heels (seen here) and ended up switching to these wedges at the last second. I'm so so so glad I did. Not only was it a far walk from the parking lot to the ceremony location, but you had to traverse through mud, rocks, and grass to get there. There is seriously no way I would have survived ten steps in heels. Thank goodness for the husband's sleuthing!
Three weekends in a row of party festivities has this lady feeling beat down! I will have to detox next weekend for sure!! Until then, have a great week, and don't forget to link up!

What a gorgeous dress--I love a hidden closet gem! And smart idea to change into wedges--I hate wearing heels and then finding out you'll be walking around outside! I'm glad you found the dog's owner, poor thing!

It's such a beautiful dress! I'm glad you held onto it. Omg I tried to rescue a dog in front of my house last week, and the little guy attacked me! (He was small, so just a few scratches.) Glad you were able to find the owner. That's so sweet of you, and I know they appreciate it!
