Messy hair, don't care

There are times I love to get all done up for the blog and then there are times like this when I'm all about real life. On the weekends, especially the day after a long night out, it's not uncommon for my hair to be thrown up in a messy pile with easy pieces I can grab that require little thought and no fuss. This outfit is the epitome of my summer weekend uniform.

This tee is basically a combination of two tees I obsessed over all last summer: the U-neck tee from the Nordstrom anniversary sale and the faux knot tee from Express. I ended up ordering the navy stripe also because I wasn't sure why I didn't just order it in the first place! I'm a sucker for super soft tees!

Can we talk about these sandals for a second? I love my Sam Edelman Gigi sandals (all 3 pairs!) but sometimes I do want the comfort of a flat sandal but some oomph in height with a low block heel. These are perfect. Simply stated and comfortable.

I have a feeling that I will be reaching for these white shorts just as much as I reach for my white skinnies. The length and fit are relaxed but not too boyfriend-y. I really love them. I wouldn't normally pick black shoes with white bottoms unless I'm wearing a darker colored top, but lucky for me, I feel like the sandals and my dark hair bookend this look quite nicely. Yes, I definitely think of my hair as an accessory. When I can wear it messy like this, even better!
