As I was thinking of a title for this post, I thought for sure I've done "blush and camo" before. A quick search proved I was right. You can see an old school post here. Gosh, I still love that outfit, too! I've been obsessed with blush and mauve even more so than I have in the past. Friday I featured a blush-ish cold shoulder top, a couple weeks ago I wore mauve and olive skinnies, last month I bought the softest tunic sweater in a similar color, and here I am with this convertible cardigan! Last week I talked about my partnership with Grace and Lace and how I was so excited to be able to work with a brand I already shopped. Case in point, this cardigan and this tee were purchased with my own money and not blogger gifts.
I'm always intrigued by pieces you can wear multiple ways because you get more bang for your buck! This kept on popping up in my Instagram and Facebook feeds and after watching multiple videos, I decided to pull the trigger. Wearing it knotted like this with my top knot made me feel ballerina chic! Now if I could only dance like a ballerina, too!
The bralette is a new Express purchase from their President's Day sale. I was worried that the higher neck strap would bug me, but it's actually quite comfortable and I don't even notice it. There's a hook and eye closer for the top strap so you don't have to worry about squeezing your head through the hole. The husband asked me, "Are you wearing THREE shirts?" Haha, no! Just two and a half, but I do love how the multiple light layers look with each other, especially with this gauzy cardigan.
I mentioned on Instagram this weekend that my Saturday was SO productive, and it was! I started it off with a 7am Pilates personal workout. Then the husband and I drove to St. Charles (a little over a half hour west of us) because he had a car-related errand to run and we went ahead and tried a new-to-us brunch place while we were out that way. Afterwards, we stopped by the mall so I could make a couple of returns. I'm so awful at mailing back returns that I forced myself to do them in store so they would be done and over with! When we got home, I switched into a blog outfit so we could shoot some photos, we grabbed an early dinner, and then I came home, started laundry, and without thinking just started purging like a madwoman!
I ended up packing about 5 large trash bags full of jeans, pants, sweaters, swimsuit cover ups, and shoes to donate. I still need to conquer my tops, dresses, and skirts, but for the hour I spent purging, I'd say I was more than happy with my progress! Gina and Rachelle have been all about purging lately, so I've felt like quite the slacker in our group texts. I'm happy I was able to share some purging news with them finally! Anything to keep you accountable and productive, right?
This week is a total doozy as it's the last week before our big convention for which we've been preparing for the last 3 months. I'm still not quite sure what I'm going to do about blogging next week because we leave on Saturday. I will play that by ear. I know you guys don't care one way or the other, but I do like to be consistent for my readers! Anyway, I'll keep you posted on what I decide! Until then, have a great week and wish me lots more productive luck!!!
Oh I do love your layering here, that looks like a great cardi! It drapes beautifully :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job decluttering so much! The in-laws took the boys for a few hours the other day and I went through and cleared out their wardrobes and mine, felt so productive afterwards! :)
Good luck with the convention and thank you for the link up!

You know I love blush, and this piece is so versatile and fun! I love all the ways you can wear it. It's also great that you're sticking to what you love. When I wear outfits more than once, that's when I know I made a good buy :)
