Sunnies: Tom Ford "Iris" | Jacket: Capulet (option, super budget option) | Earrings: Kendra Scott "Sophee" | Top: Gap | Plaid shirt: American Eagle | Necklace: Kendra Scott "Kathy" | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff "Astor" (other colors here) | Bottoms: American Eagle jegging in "Indigo Shatter" | Shoes: Kate Spade "Licorice" (other colors here, other silver metallic option here)
Oh hey, it's Monday! I don't know about you, but I think that Super Bowl Sunday should actually be on a Saturday. Can we work on that? I'm still suffering from a slight food coma, and I could certainly use some extra sleep! I hope your team won. I, for one, was not pulling for anyone in particular, though I quite enjoyed Justin's cameo appearance in the Bai commercial. The only thing that would have made it sweeter would be if all five of them were there. Sigh. (PS You know I just had to watch that video...) Ok, I need to focus!
It was in the 50s this weekend AND the sun was out. Basically, that meant it was glorious. It's certainly still chilly, but at least it's not icy and frigid which has me craving all of my pointy toe shoes again and a new pair of destroyed denim. I saw this pair on AE's Instagram and basically ordered them immediately. I loved the raw hem and that they still stay super fitted through the ankle. They fit just as great as all of my American Eagle bottoms.
Plaid shirts are the best accessory, I swear. It's nice having another layer handy in case I need it, but if I don't need it, it's still nice to have a pop of color and pattern mixed in with these neutrals. And don't get me started on this necklace. I think I've worn it almost every day since it arrived last week. I love that it is adjustable! The possibilities are endless! I love pairing it with the adjustable choker necklace I bought last year (seen here.) You can see them together in this top down photo here.
Other than the Super Bowl and some blogging, I literally spent 7 hours on Saturday catching up on some Pilates lectures. I was behind and hadn't watched last week's yet, so I figured since we didn't have plans on Saturday, I should take advantage of that and get caught up! It wasn't so bad, though I was starting to get a little delirious at the end. I'm glad I can watch the lectures in the comfort of my own home though, so I cannot complain!
That is it for now! Hope you guys stay hydrated today and have a great week!!
Oh I love your Rebecca Minkoff saddle bag! I have it in red (wore it today actually!) and I'd quite like it in another colour too...shame I'm on the shopping ban!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link up!
Hope you had a really nice weekend :) Lots of lectures sounds a little boring but it's great you're all caught up again.
Away From The Blue Blog
I guess I should clarify that the lectures are actually instructional videos of each exercise - deconstructed so we know how to do them and teach them. That is a lot more interesting and engaging than just staring at a person talking at you! I was pretty engaged up until that last hour!
DeleteAnd thank you!!!
Love your shoes! These are just what I'm looking for! Thank you for hosting.I hope you can join my link up on Thursday x

Always great style...always!
ReplyDeleteI would have never thought to add the plaid shirt to that outfit, but I love it! Super cute.
ReplyDeleteLove the pop of color with the plaid! Also, I am right there with you on the chill weekend. Other than the Super Bowl I spent most of my weekend studying and dealing with a water ban.

I'm still awfully old fashioned--ha ha! I have one pair of distressed denim, but I don't wear them much. I just need to hang around younger women and then I'd feel more comfortable in them!!

Oh my, 7 hours of pilates lectures on a Saturday? No wonder you didn't have time to do a closet sort! And your cheeseburger crescent ring looked delish! As for this outfit, I think this jacket is my current favorite piece in your closet, and that necklace is not far behind!
