I feel like a broken record, but March has been such a doozy of a month! It's already the third week of March, and I can't seem to catch up! Have you ever been so busy that you have absolutely no idea where to start with your to-do list that you just end up sitting in a vegetable state doing none of it? My brain is mush! That week in Nashville has been all consuming both before and after, and I just can't seem to get back to normal for whatever reason! On top of that, the husband has been traveling a lot these last couple of weeks, which equally throws my own schedule off. I need to just put my big girl pants on and get back into my normal routine!
I decided on Saturday that I just needed to get dressed like I was about to meet my worst enemy, so I needed to grab something fierce. And that's where these neon beauties come in. I feel like these pumps give me life! That sounds a bit dramatic, but it's semi true! They're my little secret weapon when I'm needing a little oomph, and frankly, it's hard not to walk just a little bit taller when I am wearing them.
The husband and I were supposed to have dinner and a movie on Saturday, but he ended up spending a lot of time at our rental property. Thankfully, we now have stable tenants after having been unoccupied since September. But, being an adult is a lot of work, and there were several loose ends that needed to be tied up before they could move in. It took a little longer than he had anticipated, so by the time he got home, he only had strength for some Mexican food and we ended up watching a movie at the house. I'll have to wear this outfit again to work this week since it didn't get enough air time this weekend!
This top was one of my recent purchases from Banana. I love a good wrap top, and I love that this one fit perfectly without me needing to wear a cami underneath. Since I knew I was going to be sporting my neon pumps, I kept the rest of the palette in the olive and grey family. The more I stare at this outfit, the more I love it. The silhouette, the color pop, the easy combo - it's all good.
These neon pumps have been in my shoe collection for a few years now, but I never tire of them. I thought I'd take you on a trip down memory lane and share some other ways I've styled them. They're definitely not for the timid, but if you don't mind making a statement, I definitely think they're a must have in your closet! And the Kate Spade "Licorice" pump in general is my most favorite pointy toed pump hands down.... which is probably why I have it in a half a dozen colors!
The neon heels look great with the neutral outfit, they are such a fun pop of colour! Your ruffle wrap top is really pretty too. Sorry your weekend didn't go as planned, hope you get back to your regular routine soon.

Yes, travel always feels that way! It completely throws off life for quite some time before and after the actual trip. Same goes for having company in town as you saw in today's post. :) Hope things settle down for you soon. And you have the best eye for tops from BR! Love your grey one AND this one!

I'm currently in that situation. It's been an overwhelming past few weeks. Kinda frustrating on my part that I didn't do a better job of planning and prioritizing. However, it's slowing down a bit so I should be right back in progress.
ReplyDeleteReally like your monochromatic look.
