Remember last week's post when I told you Rachelle made me shop? Well, I ordered this dress in addition to that gorgeous white lace midi dress. I'm such a fan of easy dresses like this for warmer months. They are great on their own and work well as a base layer, too! I was conflicted by the sizing because the reviews seemed a bit all over the place. I ended up ordering the pink color (which is no longer online) in a medium and this green version in a small. The green definitely fit much better. I'm not sure if I will return the other one yet because it may fit fine if I actually put it in the dryer for a little bit, but I was going to wait and see if I can swap sizes in store.
For the price, I think this is a great option. It does not compete with my tank dresses from Bailey 44 though. (You can browse through Bailey 44 dresses here and here.) Granted, Bailey 44 is about triple the price of this dress, but I do tend to get them on sale whenever possible so they're closer in price to this Leith one. The reason why I say this one does not compete is because Bailey 44 dresses are always double lined. They're an easy stretch knit, and even though they're curve-hugging, they're very forgiving. This one today is not lined, so I would definitely recommend wearing a slip under it, otherwise beware of VPL. Yes, I wear slips under all my dresses - this one is my favorite and I have it in all 3 colors. But anyway, like I said, for the price, you get what you pay for and it is a great option for a simple, throw-on piece like this.
Kendra Scott just released new silhouettes and stones to their Color Bar this week, so I hopped into the store to check out the options. There was so much to choose from, but I ended up just creating these Danielle earrings in all rose gold with the filigree instead of a stone. I wear my Addie earrings in gold all the time and have been wanting a rose gold option since I have so much rose gold jewelry. I love these earrings so so much! I need to go back to the Color Bar when I don't have the husband waiting for me! The possibilities really are amazingly endless.
I wore this over the weekend for the husband's Grandfather's 90th birthday party! It is still a little chilly here (low 60s, upper 50s), so while I pushed it a bit with bare legs and sandals, I did end up wearing the plaid top over the dress vs. around my waist. I tied the top around my waist for the sake of these photos so you could see the dress a bit better, and also because I just like the look of a shirt around the waist as an accessory!
I tried on a few different pairs of sandals with this outfit, but none of them looked as good as this strappy cognac pair. If you have not added a pair of cognac sandals to your spring wardrobe yet, I highly suggest you do! My exact pair is a couple seasons old but still available here, though in limited sizes, so I thought I would link to a few other good options I came across as I was putting together this post. Happy shopping!
That is a beautiful dress! Ruching is such a nice detail, especially on a dress like this. The shirt is just the perfect pairing with it :) Hope you can get the pink one in a different size, I bet it looks just as good as this one :)

Your cognac sandal picks are spot on! I have a trusty pair of cognac sandal wedges from a few summers ago that go with everything but probably need to be replaced soon. A stacked pair would be a good replacement!
