Floral dress and leather earrings

The last time I wore this floral dress, I paired it with nude suede sandals, but today I wanted to wear it with some metallic heels and my new gunmetal leather earrings. The beauty about a good metallic is that it goes with literally anything. This dress is such a bright statement so I like to keep the shoes neutral. Metallics are a good option for a neutral. Plus, I feel like the metallic shine factor instantly kicks the outfit up a dressy notch or two.

The floral faux-wrap cami dress

I picked up this dress a couple of weeks ago as I was scouring Express' site to check out their new arrivals. I definitely lack in my dress and my skirt department, so I always tend to search those sections first. I loved the print of this dress, the shape, the fit, the flirty ruffle, and the mini length that I knew wouldn't be super mini on me. I am 5'-2" with a 27" waist and am wearing a small for reference.

Nickel and Suede earrings

I think it was about 2014 or so when I scored by first pair of Nickel and Suede earrings. You want to see an old school post with me wearing them? Yes? Check it out here. I'm not sure how I first stumbled upon Kilee from One Little Momma, but I instantly fell in love with her earring shop, Nickel and Suede, and I swear her hair makes me want to chop all my hair off. I mean it is SO GOOD. I had the privilege of meeting her in real life last week at the rewardStyle conference (and yes, her hair is even better in person!!) and she was kind enough to gift a few of us some earrings! She asked me what size I wanted, and Audrey said, "Uh, LARGE! Do you see all that hair?" She read my mind! Since my other pair are smaller, I definitely wanted to go big with this pair. I immediately gravitated to the large gunmetal. I've already worn them about a half a dozen times since Dallas. They're so lightweight, I forget I'm wearing them!

I knew I wanted to wear a blue-ish bag with this, and since I just wore my favorite turquoise one in Friday's outfit, I decided to dust off this oldie but goodie. Plus, you guys know I can't ever resist a good print mix!!!

Look how happy I am in this photo! You can't even tell that it had been raining for about 72 hours and this was one of only 3 dry hours on Saturday! I feel like talking about the weather is so trite, but it's hard to ignore the ridiculous amount of water coming from the sky at the moment. Luckily, we still got a lot done this weekend even though I would have loved nothing more than to cuddle up in my chair all day! 

I'm headed to Jersey today for another overnight photo shoot for work! Nothing like starting off the week sleep deprived! Ha! Wish me luck!
