Hooray for Friday, amiright?! I think that goes without saying. I feel like I have accumulated lot of new things over the last couple of weeks so it made the most sense to compile everything into one post for you today! Some are still good for summer, and some are more fall friendly; a little bit of everything depending on what you are in the mood for!
Outfit details--- Poncho: CS Gems (c/o) | Tank: Express | Necklace: BaubleBar | Shorts: Express | Espadrilles: Marc Fisher "Adalyn"
Before we get started, let me remind you guys of my measurements. I'm 5'-2" tall with a 34" bust and 26" waist. I'm normally a size small and a 4 in jeans at American Eagle and Express.

First up is this poncho! It's actually quite lightweight making it the perfect cover up during chilly summer nights. I also love the idea of packing it in my shoulder bag when I'm traveling because it would be great to throw on when I'm cold on a flight, and let's be real, I'm ALWAYS cold on flights. It's a nice cover up in general. I'm wearing a small for reference and I like that the length isn't all-consuming on my short self!
Earrings: Nickel and Suede (c/o) | Tee: CS Gems (c/o) | Necklace: BaubleBar | Jeans: American Eagle (similar) | Sandals: American Eagle (option)
I have accumulated a little collection of easy tops from CS Gems over the last few months. I hadn't gotten this particular one yet because I was afraid that it was going to be too long and the proportions wouldn't look right with jeans. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it fits great. It does cover all my bits, but it's not overwhelming by any means. I am wearing a small.
Top: CS Gems | Jeans: American Eagle | Sandals: Sam Edelman "Gigi"
There are lot of items in this post that were gifted to me from CS Gems, but it wasn't by my choice! We did a Facebook live video last week where I tried on some of their new fall arrivals and I wanted ALL THE THINGS. Seriously, I loved every single thing they picked out for me to try on. But they wouldn't let me pay for them, they are holding me to another video in the future. For the record, I would have done the video regardless of their generosity!
I say all of this because I do spend my own money on their stuff. This tee is one of those purchases. I loved the T-neckline! I mentioned on our video last week that I hardly ever choose solids for myself, but when I do, I love the pieces having interesting details like this necklace. I'm wearing a small and it is relaxed, but not oversized at all. It drapes perfectly and is crazy soft!
Top: CS Gems | Jeans: American Eagle | Heels: Vince Camuto "Kain" (other colors here) (other white pump option here)
This is another top that CS Gems picked out for me to try during our video session last week and I fell in love with it. The ruffle sleeve is darling and you know I love to knot anything and everything. Such an easy piece to throw on without thinking. I am wearing a small.
Kimono: CS Gems (c/o) | Tank: Express (olive tank option here) | Jeans: American Eagle | Heels: Kate Spade "Licorice" (similar) (other pink pump options here and here)
My love for kimonos has definitely grown pretty deep over the last season or so. Usually, I almost always pair my floral kimonos with a striped tank under, but I loved the idea of pulling the green out of the print, and wearing it with an olive tank. I think kimonos by nature tend to feel more spring and summer, especially in this print. But olive + dark washed skinnies is a great way to transition this kimono into the fall. The kimono would also look great over burgundy! I'm wearing a small.
This tank top is genius! I love things that can be worn multiple ways. I'm wearing it backwards in this pic. Yep. Backwards. I love strappy bralettes, but sometimes it's nice to actually be wearing a tank. That's where this top comes in. If you turn it front-facing, it looks like a basic spaghetti-strap tank. But it is far from basic! It is a little bit fitted, but I would be wary about sizing up because then the strappies will start getting loose. I am wearing a small.
This cardigan is effortless. You can see in this pic that it has a nice, easy cascade in the front, but it's lower in the back - it just covers my behind. So it's definitely long enough to wear with leggings, but the high-low hem doesn't make me feel like I'm drowning in it. I'm wearing a small.
In the Facebook live video I had this sweater on with grey skinnies. I adore blush and grey together. I also adore the laceup back. I'm wearing a regular bra with this, but the open back isn't low enough to show my bra strap, which is nice! Since I'm short, I was afraid this was going to be pretty long on me and would only look right with leggings. But I'm happy that it does still look good with jeans, especially with a little partial tuck action! I'm wearing a small.

The husband and I ventured to the mall this weekend to take advantage of some tax-free shopping. I had $70 in coupons and rewards to use at Express, so I decided to pop in. I loved this dress a lot! Next week I have a birthday lunch and happy hour to attend and I wanted to find a fun dress to wear for it. This is really sweet and pretty. I wanted to get a size 6, but they only had a 4 in store. I was pleasantly surprised that the 4 fit like a glove.
And last but not least is this cute little outfit. This skirt is too fun! Stripes, ruffles. Sigh. I had to try it on and of course I loved it. I am wearing a 6, and full disclosure, I also ordered a size 8 for comparison. Yes, size 8. It is described as "high waisted" and high waisted pieces always run crazy small on me because my midsection is the biggest part of me, well, ok, not the biggest part, but I'm pretty square shaped. Proportionally I like skirts to hit a little lower on my hips. The 6 did feel great, but I wanted to see if the 8 would fall a little lower on my waist/hips thus giving me more length and coverage on the skirt. I'll keep you posted, but regardless, I had to hold onto the 6 in the meantime.
Whew! This turned into a hella long post! Hope you found a few things you need to buy! I think I'm officially done buying summer pieces though I'm not fully ready to only buy fall pieces. The weather has definitely cooled down here, which is good because it has been awfully hot up until the last week here! That does get me excited for fall, not going to lie! I'm just not ready to give up the long days of sunshine any time soon!!! Have a great weekend!!

I'm with you...August is shopping limbo month. Too soon to buy fall clothes, too late to buy anything strictly summer!
