Oh hey, guys! Guess who is blogging earlier than 11pm on a Sunday night?! It's nice to have a little time back into my life again, and it was also nice to dust off the camera and take some proper photos this week. Let's get to it!
Fall is undoubtedly in the air in these parts and I'm still not quite sure if I am happy about it. I think I'm ok with it, though the temps have been extra perfect, so it would be nice if we could enjoy this weather before it turns straight to cold. It's been dipping into the 50s in the mornings and in the evenings. Regardless, it's hard to avoid all the fall stuff anymore especially since it goes hand-in-hand with back-to-school shopping. That said, I'm always on the lookout for a good pair of leggings.
I ordered this pair through CS Gems and was sooo happy about the length. Since they have the zipper hem, it was important for them to fit perfectly in the length because I wouldn't have the option to fold them under like I do with my other leggings. Carrie from CS Gems had mentioned in a try-on video that they fit almost like ankle length on her, so I knew they would be the perfect "normal-lengthed" hem on me, and I was right! They only come in two sizes small/medium and large/extra large. I'm wearing the small/medium.
I was a little surprised by the material. They aren't knit like basically all of my leggings are. Yes, the material content is clearly indicated in the product description, but I'm so bad at understanding what that means in real life! These feel more like dress-pant material, just obviously with a lot of stretch. I don't think that is a bad thing at all, but it just wasn't what I was expecting when I initially felt them. They do have a higher rise on me and cover my belly button completely.
This top is darling, just like what you would expect from Grace and Lace. Their fall releases just came out and this was one of two pieces they sent me. It's super easy to throw on without thought. I loved how this sweet top paired with the edgier leggings and heels! I am wearing this in a small.
Ok, and can we talk about these shoes??! Because hello, gorgeous! Even just looking at these photos, I fall in love with them all over again. And again, and again. I love all my Rockstuds equally, don't get me wrong. And I will forever love the traditional t-strap style, but man. This wraparound strap really vamps up a basic black pump. It literally is just a basic black pump with this strap added as an accessory. It's crazy flattering on the foot. I took this in my usual size with Valentinos - a size 36.
And there you have it - sweet meets sassy once again. One of my favorite outfit formulas!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was pretty low key. We had an unexpected fancy dinner on Friday evening because we stopped in to see one of the husband's long-time friends at a local restaurants in which he works. Saturday, a couple in the Camaro club opened their house to a pool party, so it was nice to soak in some rays for probably the last time of the season! Sunday was spent catching up on the blog and life in general. Next weekend, we are off to San Antonio for the long weekend so I can finally meet my new nephew!!!! I cannot wait!!! Have a great week!

Those leggings are amazing. I like that they are not a knit material, but a dress pant material. Lots of great detail in them.
