When I first started this blog 5 years ago, I was EXTREMELY into mint. That may be an understatement actually. I thought over time that obsession would fade a bit, but it really hasn't. Once February and March start coming around, I start to crave mint more and more again!
Bag: Chloe "Marcie" | Top: American Eagle One Shoulder Printed Top | Bottoms: American Eagle Jegging Crop in Mint | Booties: Joie (c/o Shopbop) (option, option, option)
Last week at work has been one of the busiest weeks I have had in quite a long time. Usually my busy weeks are thanks to traveling or social events, but I was actually working in the evenings, and I worked a full 8 hours on Saturday as well. Needless to say, some retail therapy was in order, so I started scrolling aimlessly through American Eagle's website adding things to my cart. I stopped on this top because it is SO pretty and makes me hella excited for the spring!
Sunnies: Vince Camuto (similar) | Earrings: Nickel and Suede (in large Platinum)
I also came across these cropped mint skinnies and I decided I needed a second pair of mint bottoms. I already have a pair, but they are distressed, and I try avoid wearing rips to work. I'm wearing these pants in a 4 short. I ALMOST got them in the regular length so they would actually be more full length pants than crops, but I loved the idea of these being a bit cropped in length because they are the perfect transitional length to wear with booties now and then again with sandals later in the warmer months.
I love American Eagle bottoms because they fit perfectly to my body type. The legs stay nice and narrow all the way to the ankle, which is the most flattering, especially with booties.
Mint is so fun to wear because it's so light and airy and gives us hope for sun and warmer weather to come! I tend to reach for cobalts and blues a lot when I wear mint, but the color is really more versatile than you think! If you don't have a good pair of mint skinnies yet, I definitely think there is a hole in your wardrobe and I highly recommend this pair! I pulled together other ways I've styled mint pants in the collage below.
Clockwise from top right: With cobalt and cognac sandals | With neutrals | With black and animal print | With stripes and blue | With a chambray | With charcoal and mint heels
This is the third week I have done a remix post like this and I'm digging it! Sometimes I forget how I have styled things in the past, so these posts help remind me of outfit combinations that work! Why reinvent the wheel, right? Hope you all have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!
What a great post! I have a pair of mint colored jeans, and I'm always thinking of how to style them! Thanks for hosting, and have a great week!

This top is adorable and I'm still so in love with that bag. I have one pair of colored jeans and they are a greyish blue and the closest the closest thing to mint I own.

ReplyDeleteMint is such a great color. I love mixing it with darker colors to create a nice rich contrast. I got a mint trench coat a few years ago that I absolutely love. Great outfit, by the way!

I thought mint was out of style so I gave away my pair of mint jeans. I can't believe American Eagle is selling them again. I'll definitely be watching for more now.
