Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 Picks

Preview Anniversary Sale HERE

What a year 2020 has been. That's all I have to say about that. But as I'm pulling this post together, baseball opening day is on and now that I'm getting in anniversary sale prep mode, it's almost starting to feel like it's a normal summer. Almost. Ok, far from normal, but I will take these little bits of happiness! Just as with other years, I had to document everything I have my eye on. I love putting these posts together then sending the link to my Sales Associate - it keeps things nice and organized! Anyway, not sure how much commentary I need to add to these picks, but here is what I have my eye on!

I got a Bernardo coat from one of the previous sales (2016 to be exact, you can see it here), and I love it. I turn to it often and the last couple of years, I've been wanting a wine colored version. For a coat so lightweight, it is surprisingly warm! Worth the try if you're in the market for one. I also love the fit - puffy coats end up not being the most flattering, but this one is tailored nicely.

This is a super random selection, but I just have to try it. I'm guessing it will be too long for me, but I still feel compelled to try it on at least!

Honestly, this is a bit pricey and smocked waists like this aren't normally flattering on me, but I'm not one to ever turn down a girly, frilly dress, so I figured it was worth at least trying on.

Same thing with this. I have a handful of printed dresses like this that I reach for all the time. They're great with leggings and boots in the winter and just good transitional, easy pieces anyway. And how cute would it look with that patent leather trench?!

I also love a good shirt dress, and I liked the color and the stripe. Shirt dresses are tricky because of the wrinkle situation, but I want to see how this feels and fits in real life. I find myself gravitating towards all things olive again this year.

I'm skeptical about this because of the length and my height, but I do like the simple design and the cinched waist. I feel like a basic black jumpsuit is a good piece to have in the wardrobe as a base layer, and the price is not bad for a full outfit.

Now that I work from home, I've been wanting pants that aren't necessarily jeans, but not workout leggings either. I love all of my AG Jeans, so I want to see how these trousers fit. They look easy and comfy, but the color is great.

I had a similar stripe skirt that I wore TO DEATH a few years ago, and I've kind of been missing it. I also love that there is a similar here in leopard, but do I have too much leopard??! Is that even such a thing?

I got my first Barefoot Dreams cardi with last year's sale, and I legit wear it almost every single day. The husband keeps the house at 67 degrees year round, so I'm always in a sweater if I'm at the house, which usually means I'm wearing my Barefoot cardi throughout my entire work day. I could use a backup, and the tone on tone leopard is just too cute.

Um yes. I may not blog anymore really, but my love for off the shoulder anything has not subsided.

It's oddly very hard to find a basic black sweater that hits at the waist vs being a tunic length. So whenever I see one, I feel compelled to try it out.

I have a few Free People sweaters with this shape and I wear them all the freaking time. I got my first one at an anniversary sale a few years ago (2017 to be exact, you can see it here), and I've been obsessed ever since. I was really excited to see different colors.

I have the leopard print version of this sweater and I reach for it a lot. I love the colors in this camo print, so I had to add it to my wish list.

I liked the stripes, the sleeves, the v-neck and the fact that it's not tunic length.

I loved this print and the color and the shape and the sleeves. Seems like a super easy top to throw on for work or for travel (if I ever get to travel again....) so it's worth the try for me.

It's olive, it's got a knot. It's worth the shot. Ha. And I rhyme.

You guys, I was a bit heartbroken that there were really no shoes this year that made my heart palpitate. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the fact that I work from home now and my heels just don't get the same use that they did in the past, and it doesn't make sense for me to continue to add to that collection. That said, my sneakers get the most use, and I don't have a solid black pair yet. The fact that there is a touch of leopard gives it an added bonus. I feel like this could be good to teach Pilates in as well as wear for casual work travel.

Allegedly they are adding new things to the sale preview daily, so I may continue to add onto this if I do notice new things. But this is a good start! I will be shopping the sale on August 10th! My date is set! Woooooo!
