I felt compelled to do a random roundup because it's the last weekend of the anniversary sale and I've already worn the bulk of my purchases. I figured I would share real life photos of how I've styled these pieces in case you've been on the fence about anything. Let's get started!
I haven't actually gotten to wear these booties out of the house yet, but I was happy that they finally arrived! She had to order these for me because they didn't have my size in store in the snake print and I am over the moon in love with them! They run true to size for me.
Also, in case you're wondering, I'm sitting on my new Feet Up trainer! That merits its own post alone! The husband bought it for me for my birthday, among basically everything else on my wishlist! And I'm really loving it!
Caslon Leopard tee (sold out, but other colors/options here) | Express skirt | Renvy heels
So unfortunately, this top was pretty quick to sell out. I'm linking the product page to other Caslon tees in case this one comes back into stock. For $12.90, I can see why it sold out so fast, especially with the print. The shoes and skirt are looooong time staples. I will say that not blogging regularly has me wearing old stuff a lot more because I don't have to stress about being relevant or worrying about needing to link to every piece. But, that sucks for you as readers because if you like what I'm wearing, it's not available... so. Sorry for teasing you.
J.Crew Sweater (gifted) (super similar here) | American Eagle jeggings I cut into shorts | Jimmy Choo wedges
When I posted my anniversary sale wishlist, one of my friends saw my post and told me she had basically the same camo sweater that she had only worn one time. She ended up gifting it to me, and I'm so thankful! It was in perfect condition and exactly what I was hoping for.
I had been wanting black denim shorts, but they're surprisingly very hard to find a basic pair. I had a few pairs of black jeggings, and this particular pair, I didn't like the way they bunched at my knees. So, I cut them into shorts and I have already gotten more use out of them this way!
Madewell sweater | American Eagle skinnies | Cole Haan sneakers
I'm sad this sweater didn't get more love, but maybe I'm not because then I don't have to worry about seeing everyone and their grandmother wearing it! It really is an easy piece to just throw on and it feels better than a simple tee.
Gina and Rachelle gave me a Nordstrom gift card for my birthday, AND they gave it to me early so that I had time to use it for the sale before things sold out. I'm so thankful they did because I was able to get another one of these cardigans. Sadly, looks like all of the anniversary sale priced Barefoot Dreams items are now sold out, and for good reason. They are so luxuriously soft and the sale price is just too good to pass up.
The leggings are equally soft... ok, maybe nothing is capable of being as soft as Barefoot Dreams, but they're definitely super soft. They say they are "lounge" leggings, but I would still work out in them to be honest. Or wear them out of the house. I'm really not one to discriminate.
Caslon knit blazer | Grace and Lace tank | Joe's jeans | Valentino heels
I wanted this "blazer" (I have to use quotes because I think it's such a weird descriptor for it) because I thought it would be the perfect cover up for video meetings, and I was right! I'm tempted to get other colors before the sale closes because it's a really great price. I cuffed the sleeves a couple of times and it made me love the fit even more than from my try-on session.
Rails shirt | American Eagle jeans
I've been able to enjoy drinks or dinner on restaurant patios here, and even though it's summer, this top was lightweight enough for me to feel completely comfortable, and protected from mosquitos!! It's actually so lightweight that I felt like I could throw another layer over it in my cold house! I've mentioned before it's a bit of a splurge, but a piece like this will last multiple seasons so I'm not at all worried about price per wear.
And last but not least - this jacket arrived, which was also something she had to order because they didn't have it in my store. It was exactly what I wanted. I'm not sure how they can make a puffy coat to be figure flattering, but it hugs my curves without feeling extra bulky. The color is so great, too, and I'm quite excited to wear it in the colder months to come!! I forgot to take a proper photo so you're seeing a screenshot I uploaded to my IG stories, btw...
And that's it! I will have to wear my snakeskin booties or my Cole Haan sneakers this weekend to give it a proper styling! Hope you guys get some good retail therapy!
